This is my signature, in-depth, coaching program and is a rare combination of education, support, and motivation that goes beyond the strictly physical. With fitness as a baseline, we’ll delve into so many other ways to optimize this next stage of life!
As women in or approaching menopause, we’re told over and over again that the only way through this awkward stage is to cling tightly to what we once had–or tried, successfully or not, to achieve. Regain our “youthful” appearance. Redouble our fitness efforts to keep from losing ground. Do something–anything!--about that belly fat. These messages prey on our fears, but do they motivate us? Not really, not that I’ve seen, and certainly not for long. And that shouldn’t be surprising. Shame has a very short shelf life, especially once we grow older and wiser.
So, how do we get off this bus headed straight to Fuckaroo? If we give up on trying to “hack” the aging process, are we giving up altogether? More importantly, if all that self-improvement doesn’t matter anymore, what does?
My answer: quality of life (QOL) through guided self-exploration. It is SO in our power to live better lives, do more of what we love and less of what we don’t, stop trying to make ourselves fit into an impossible mold, embrace this change and have more fun–even adventure!–in this one life we’re given. You’re the expert on you, after all, and once you de-fang the messages that weren’t serving you in the first place, you can make real progress. That’s what I’ve seen happen in New Moves™.
